RESPECT DIFFERENCES – EQUALITY FOR ALL

2291

Everyday, we bear witness that the barriers created in mind materialise in the barriers preventing our fellow citizens to move freely in the streets or to enter a school, health centre, court of law, cinema and all other health care, educational, cultural, republic or municipal institutions because they live with disabilities. And to make a positive change, it only takes to exercise greater responsibility and commitment towards our own community in order to provide equal access for all to all services. Showing respect and being human to our neighbours is the only road to a prosperous society.

CHRIS NETWORK IS SAFEGUARDING THE FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS OF PERSONS LIVING WITH DISABILITIES

The Network of the Committees for Human Rights in Serbia CHRIS has continued its activities in safeguarding the fundamental human rights of persons with disabilities in 2011. The successful pilot project of the Committee for Human Rights in Niš realised in 2010 and 2011, Remove the Barriers – Equality for All, has ramified in the four cities where the members of the Network perform their activities – Valjevo, Negotin, Novi Pazar and Novi Sad.
